Baltimore Ravens deny role in deflategate scandal

Head coach John Harbaugh insists that the Baltimore Ravens had no involvement in the deflategate scandal.

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has denied that the team tipped off the Indianapolis Colts about under-inflated balls against the New England Patriots.

The Patriots were found guilty of deflating balls for the AFC Championship match against the Colts last season, and quarterback Tom Brady has been handed a four-game ban for his role.

Reports have suggested that the Colts were informed by the Ravens, but Harbaugh has insisted that any conversation they had with the team was not about balls.

He told ESPN: "Any conversation that was had with the Colts had nothing to do with deflated footballs, which is what we've been saying since the very start.

"I know that we've answered the questions from the beginning to the end very simply. Our yes is yes. Our no is no. We've answered questions directly and honestly and straightforward from the start."

The Patriots won the match in question, and went on to beat the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
