The remainder of day eight of the London Olympic Games is expected to remain largely dry, but there will continue to be a threat of isolated showers.

Temperatures in the Olympic Stadium are expected to reach a peak of 20 degrees, but it may feel slightly cooler with the accompanying 9mph wind.

With any shower passing over London by 5pm, the evening's athletics session will remain dry, with a temperature of 19 degrees anticipated, but expect that to fall slightly as the evening goes on.

Over at Wimbledon, temperatures are expected to remain the same, and a slightly stronger wind may blow any isolated shower quite quickly.

Away from London, the men's football quarter-finals will be played throughout the day and with isolated showers being a common theme across Great Britain this afternoon, spectators attending those matches may encounter the odd downpour.
