Temperatures for the athletics in the Olympic Stadium will rise steadily through the afternoon, with a peak temperature of 22 degrees expected.

At Wimbledon, the weather is expected to be cloudy but dry for the afternoon's play with the temperature reaching 20 degrees.

As play moves on into the evening, it is expected to become marginally cooler at 19 degrees but remain dry.

There is the threat of showers for the women's football between Team GB and Canada in Coventry this evening, but spectators will be able to watch the match in temperatures of around 17 degrees.
