David Weir takes his second gold at the Paralympics with victory in the 1,500m.

David Weir has won his second gold at the London 2012 Paralympics with victory in the T54 1,500m.

Weir, who won the 5,000m gold on Sunday night, powered his way to the middle-distance double in some style.

The Brit was second at the bell but took the lead in the final lap and could not be caught on the home straight.

Weir came home with a time of 3:12.09, ahead of Prawat Wahoram of Thailand with 3:12.32 and Kim Gyu-Dae of South Korea with 3:12.57.
