Siarhei Karneyeu of Belarus has sealed a nine-point victory over Ecuador's Julio Castillo Torres to reach the next round of the Olympic heavyweight classification.
Karneyeu started on the front foot and had his opponent pinned against the ropes before unleashing a few hurtful shots.
The Belorusian took the first round 9-4, but Castillo came out for the second with renewed vigour.
The Ecuadorian landed with a few decent scoring shots before Karneyeu regained the upper hand and extended his advantage by two.
Castillo swung wildly in the third in an attempt to turn the tide in his favour, but it was not to be and Karneyeu took a 21-12 verdict.
