Floyd Mayweather Jr 'to retire after one more fight following Manny Pacquiao bout'

Floyd Mayweather Jr confirms that he will fight just one more time after taking on Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas next month.

Floyd Mayweather Jr has confirmed that he will fight just one more time after taking on Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas on May 2.

The 38-year-old, who is undefeated in 47 professional bouts, admitted this week that he no longer "enjoys" the sport and intends to retire soon.

According to the Daily Mail, the American told reporters during a media day at his gym in Vegas that after his mega-fight against Pacquiao, he will get in the ring once more in September before hanging up his gloves.

"I'm pretty much done with all this," Mayweather told reporters. "It's not fun like it was back then. It's business now. I don't really enjoy it any longer.

"I'm not excited. This is another fight for me. Yeah it's big but basically it's no different from all the others. Once we get in that ring it's a level playing field."

Mayweather is expected to rake in around $180m (£122m) from the fight, which will be the richest in boxing history.
