Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli reportedly signs a deal to join the panel on Britain's Got Talent.

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli has reportedly signed a deal to join the panel of Britain's Got Talent.

ITV is in need of a new judge for the 2023 series following the departure of David Walliams, with recent reports claiming that a deal was close with Alan Carr to take over and join Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

According to The Sun, however, an agreement has now been reached with Tonioli, who officially stepped down from Strictly last year due to filming commitments in the US.

A source told the newspaper: "Friends say Bruno is ecstatic to return to primetime Saturday night TV in the UK.

"He's managed to triple his UK Strictly salary and beat off strong competition from favourite-for-the-job Alan Carr, who is friends with a lot of the cast and crew."

The news has yet to be officially confirmed by ITV, although an announcement is expected imminently as filming of this year's auditions is due to begin on Tuesday.

Strictly, meanwhile, will return for a new series on BBC One in September.
