Amazon's ad-supported free streaming service IMDb TV officially launches in the UK.

Amazon has officially launched its ad-supported streaming service IMDb TV in the UK.

First launched in the US in 2019, the service offers a range of original and acquired programming for free, with users required to watch adverts to access the content.

Originals available on the UK version include Luke Bryan: My Dirt Road Diary, Moment of Truth and from November, Judge Judy's new show Justice Judy, while acquisitions available include Pulp Fiction, Community and 2 Broke Girls.

"IMDb TV has created a free-to-consumer destination by combining a hybrid of exclusive Originals from Amazon Studios and highly sought-after movies and television," said Lauren Anderson and Ryan Pirozzi, co-heads of content and programming at IMDb TV.

"Today's UK launch marks a major step in our mission to deliver customers widely appealing content and globally relevant storytelling, through a personalised, free streaming experience."

UK users can access IMDb TV content through the 'Free to me' section of the Prime Video app and website.
