Judge Rinder comments on Good Morning Britain speculation
Judge Rinder hints that he may be interested in replacing Piers Morgan on Good Morning Britain.

Judge Rinder has claimed that he will give politicians a tougher time than Piers Morgan if he replaces him on Good Morning Britain.

Morgan dramatically quit the breakfast show last week following his fierce criticism of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which resulted in a record number of complaints to TV regulator Ofcom.

Rinder - full name Robert Rinder - was named as one of the early favourites to succeed Morgan, in part due to his close friendship with GMB's Susanna Reid.

Asked about the speculation, Rinder told The Sun: "I think that Piers has been on that show for a few years, I think the politicians and people that whinge about the world that come on that programme to be cross-examined will consider Piers Morgan to be a birthday present.

"If I was on it.... that's all I'm saying, no other comment."

Other names in the frame to replace Morgan include Ben Shephard, Ranvir Singh, Richard Madeley and Jeremy Vine.
