Channel 4 announces a new FAST service called MAFS Live, broadcasting non-stop episodes of Married At First Sight UK.

Channel 4 is to launch a new Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) channel dedicated to Married At First Sight UK.

FAST channels are becoming an increasingly-popular medium for broadcasters, allowing them to create 24/7 streamed channels based around a certain theme, event or specific TV show.

ITVX has around 20 such stations, while the BBC has been dipping its toe into the water via iPlayer and Channel 4 has launched a handful of FAST channels in the US market.

The first Channel 4 FAST channel in the UK will be 'MAFS Live', showing episodes from seasons six to eight of the dating show non-stop around the clock.

MAFS Live is being billed as a pilot service only, running for two months in order to gauge the appetite of the British audience for Channel 4 FAST channels.

Alex Wall, C4's head of streaming, said: "FAST is swiftly becoming a popular feature with viewers across the globe and we're excited to bring MAFS fans a new way to enjoy non-stop hours of their favourite show."

MAFS Live launches via the Channel 4 streaming app on Thursday, December 7 and runs until Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
