Diana Ross is confirmed for a performance at next year's Glastonbury Festival.

Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that the legendary Diana Ross will be performing at next year's Festival.

The world-famous music and arts event will return next summer, having been cancelled this year and last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Motown icon Ross, 77, had originally been due to appear in 2020 - the Festival's 50th anniversary - and has now been reconfirmed for a Legends slot in 2022.

Eavis wrote on Twitter: "I'm thrilled to be able to let you know that the magnificent @DianaRoss is coming to play at @glastonbury next summer. We were so excited to book such a legend for Glastonbury 2020 and are so happy that she's the first to re-confirm for next year."

Ross posted: "I'm so excited and grateful to finally know that I'll be seeing you at #Glastonbury while on my UK Thank U Tour celebrating my new album of songs! See you at @glastonbury on Sunday, June 26, 2022 ✨ #dianarossthankyou"

Billie Eilish has also been confirmed for the Pyramid stage in 2022, while others in the frame include Sir Paul McCartney, Taylor Swift and Spice Girls.
