Fleur East is named as the new co-host of spinoff show Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two.

Fleur East has been confirmed as the new co-host for Janette Manrara on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing - It Takes Two.

Earlier this year Rylan Clark revealed that he would not be returning for the new run of the spinoff show, which launches on BBC Two in September.

Now East - a runner-up on last year's show - will take the reins, presenting shows alongside Manrara as well as some episodes solo.

"I'm so excited to officially join the Strictly family," said East, who shot to fame on The X Factor a decade ago.

"I had such an amazing time on the show last year and so cannot wait to be talking to the celebs each week on It Takes Two.

"Being a Strictly fan, I'm excited to get all the behind-the-scenes exclusives on the show. I know exactly what the next lot of celebs will be going through. It's an incredibly fun experience, but it's tough!

"Hopefully, I can offer them a bit of support and a friendly face along the way. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and can't wait to get started!"

The identities of the celebs taking part in this year's main show are due to be revealed within weeks.
