One player is granted a special power in the penultimate episode of The Circle.

Andy gained the power of "super secret influencer" during tonight's penultimate episode of The Circle.

The Brummie came top in the final round of ratings and as a result, he not only guaranteed himself a spot in the final but also earned the power to block one other player - with his identity being kept secret from rest of the group.

Earlier, the remaining players were required to give a "campaign speech" and explain why they should win the show - and Andy's pitch left the others heartened by his sincerity.

"Everything you know about me is true," he wrote. "Some parts have been much tougher than I've shared, but I don't wish for sympathy.

"All we have in life are choices. Door on the left - fear, hate, loneliness. Door on the right - you're at the foot of a mountain and at the top is joy, fulfilment, love.

"The journey is hard, there are setbacks. At the top, there are two doors again, only this time you've known love, support, belief, and you're not alone.

"Choose whoever you wish to win, but always choose love, belief, hope, but most importantly, never give up x"

The identity of the blocked player, as well as the group's face-to-face meeting and the crowning of the winner, will be revealed on the final of The Circle, Friday night at 10pm on Channel 4.
