Mick Norcross, known for his appearances on The Only Way Is Essex, is discovered dead at home at the age of 57.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Mick Norcross has been found dead at his home, it has been confirmed.

The 57-year-old - owner of the iconic Sugar Hut venue and father of Kirk Norcross - was discovered this afternoon, with police being called to the scene at 3.15pm.

In a tweet posted just this morning, Mick wrote: "At the end remind yourself that you did the best you could. And that is good enough."

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called to an address in Brentwood Road, Bulphan shortly before 3.15pm on Thursday 21 January.

"Sadly, a man inside was pronounced dead.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

The businessman's cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
