Championship club Hull City complete the loan signings of Chelsea duo Harvey Vale and Xavier Simons.

Chelsea have announced that Harvey Vale and Xavier Simons have been allowed to move out on loan to Hull City.

While the Blues are attempting to finalise at least two high-profile additions in Denis Zakaria and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Premier League outfit have also been working to find moves for a wide array of fringe players and prospects.

Vale was someone who could have been kept at Stamford Bridge with the England Under-19 international having previously spent time with Thomas Tuchel's first-team squad.

The 18-year-old was provided with one start and four substitute appearances during 2021-22, while the attacker featured among the substitutes at Southampton on Tuesday night.

However, Chelsea have revealed that the teenager has instead linked up with Championship side Hull on a season-long deal.

Before making the switch to the MKM Stadium, Vale penned a new contract at Chelsea, keeping him tied to the club until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.

Earlier in the day, the Tigers announced that fellow Chelsea academy graduate Simons has also moved to Humberside for the season.

The 19-year-old's solitary appearance for Chelsea thus far came in the EFL Cup tie at Brentford in December, the defensive midfielder playing the full 90 minutes against the Bees.
