Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz reportedly leaves the German national team hotel in Stuttgart in order to complete his club-record move from Chelsea.

Kai Havertz has reportedly left the Germany camp in order to complete his move to Chelsea.

The Bayer Leverkusen playmaker has been heavily linked with a club-record switch to Stamford Bridge, understood to be worth up to £89.1m.

Bild now reports that he has been granted leave from Joachim Low's Germany squad in Stuttgart in order to finalise the remaining details of the transfer.

Official confirmation of the deal is expected in the coming days, with Havertz set to join international teammates Antonio Rudiger and Timo Werner in West London.

Werner is one of six players Chelsea have already brought in this summer - along with Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba - and the Havertz arrival is set to take their spending to over £200m.

The 21-year-old midfielder was left on the bench for Germany's 1-1 Nations League draw with Spain on Thursday evening, when Werner scored the opening goal for his country, and is not expected to return to the camp for their second game against Switzerland.
