Tuesday's FA Cup predictions including Derby vs. Torquay United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's FA Cup fixtures, including Derby vs. Torquay United.

Hartlepool vs. Solihull (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

National League side Solihull Moors will be aiming to complete an FA Cup first-round shock when they have a second bite of the cherry against Hartlepool United in Tuesday's replay.

The two clubs played out a 2-2 draw in last weekend's showdown and both head into the replay on the back of lowly league defeats.

We say: Hartlepool United 1-0 Solihull Moors

It may be the month of Bonfire Night, but fans should not expect fireworks to fly between two sides struggling for form and struggling to put the ball in the back of the net on a consistent basis.

Dallas's injury will no doubt harm the visitors' attacking prowess, and while Hartlepool's own fitness woes should level the playing field somewhat, we still have faith in the League Two side to get the job done and advance to round two.

Gillingham vs. Fylde (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Having pulled off an EFL Cup giant killing against Brentford, Gillingham will hope to avoid being on the wrong end of an FA Cup upset at home to Fylde in Tuesday's first-round replay.

The National League North side held out for a 1-1 draw in the opening match, and the winners of this tie will be rewarded with a second-round battle versus Dagenham & Redbridge.

We say: Gillingham 2-1 Fylde

With Fylde developing a knack for scoring away from home and Gillingham unable to keep the back door shut in recent weeks, the travelling fans can expect to see their side make the net ripple at least once.

However, injury concerns arising from the weekend could prove to be the visitors' downfall, and the Gills should avoid falling victim to another giant killing and qualify for round two.

AFC Wimbledon vs. Weymouth (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

AFC Wimbledon will welcome Weymouth for an FA Cup first-round replay on Tuesday evening, with the two sides unable to be separated in their first game last weekend.

Ayoub Assal handed Wimbledon the lead in the fifth minute of the contest, before Ahkeem Rose levelled the scores in the 70th minute of the clash in Dorset.

We say: AFC Wimbledon 2-0 Weymouth

Weymouth were impressive when the two sides met last time out, but we are finding it difficult to predict anything other than a home victory in this match due to AFC Wimbledon's superior quality across the pitch.

Cambridge vs. Curzon Ashton (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Cambridge United will host Curzon Ashton in the FA Cup on Tuesday evening, with both sides looking to book their spot in the second round of the competition.

The two teams locked horns last Sunday but could not be separated in what proved to be a goalless draw, meaning that they will meet in a replay to determine which team advances in the tournament.

We say: Cambridge United 3-1 Curzon Ashton

Curzon Ashton were impressive when the two sides locked horns last weekend, but it is difficult to imagine a shock result occurring here. Cambridge were much-improved against Bolton in the league on Saturday and should have too much quality for their non-league opponents here.

Derby vs. Torquay Utd (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

After playing out a 2-2 draw in the first round of the FA Cup last weekend, Derby County and Torquay United will lock horns once again on Tuesday to battle for a spot in the second round of the competition.

Torquay were two goals behind to Derby in Devon last time out, but they managed to halve the deficit in the 56th minute before Will Goodwin came up with a 95th-minute leveller to force a replay.

We say: Derby County 2-0 Torquay United

Torquay impressed when the two sides locked horns last time out, but we are finding it really difficult to predict a shock result in this match. Derby will be determined to avoid another uncomfortable affair, and we are expecting this to be a relatively straightforward contest for the League One side.
