Cagliari vs. Sassuolo (Saturday, 11.30am)

Cagliari will be looking to boost their hopes of Serie A survival when they welcome Sassuolo to the Sardegna Arena on Saturday.

Seven of the last eight meetings between these two sides have ended as a draw, including the 2-2 stalemate in November's reverse fixture.

We say: Cagliari 1-2 Sassuolo

The pressure is on Cagliari heading into Saturday's contest, as they bid to end their five-game losing streak and move away from the bottom three.

Both sides have struggled to come out on top against each other in recent meetings, with the last five league encounters ending as a draw, but we feel that the quality that Sassuolo pose in the final third will help them to edge past the hosts on this occasion.

Two Serie A sides struggling for form will lock horns at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Saturday lunchtime as Sampdoria play host to Salernitana.

I Blucerchiati have won only three of their last 14 games across all competitions in 2022, while the Garnets have won only three league matches all season.

We say: Sampdoria 2-1 Salernitana

Time is running out for Salernitana in their quest to avoid relegation but a victory against Sampdoria could help get the ball rolling for a great escape from the bottom three.

However, I Blucerchiati will head into Saturday's game as the favourites, despite their poor run of form, and they should do enough to secure a slender win on home soil.

Udinese vs. Empoli (Saturday, 1.30pm)

Separated by just one place and two points in the Serie A standings, Udinese and their mid-table rivals Empoli meet at the Dacia Arena on Saturday afternoon.

While the Bianconeri have won three of their last five matches to secure a top-flight place for next season, their ailing visitors - who have played two games more - are yet to taste victory in 2022.

We say: Udinese 1-1 Empoli

While both sides are effectively safe, they will each want to wrap up the season in style. However, Empoli's inability to turn one point into three leaves them desperate for their first success in months.

Fiorentina vs. Venezia (Saturday, 3.30pm)

With one side pursuing European ambitions and the other scrapping for survival, seventh-placed Fiorentina meet relegation-threatened Venezia on Saturday.

The teams convene at Stadio Artemio Franchi having endured vastly differing fortunes of late, as the Viola have won three of their last four, while the Venetians suffered a sixth straight defeat last weekend.

We say: Fiorentina 2-0 Venezia

There has not been a single draw in the last 15 Serie A fixtures between these sides - 10 wins for Fiorentina; five for Venezia - and a first since March 1947 is not on the cards this weekend.

Juventus vs. Bologna (Saturday, 5.30pm)

As long-shot outsiders for the Serie A title, Juventus will concentrate on securing a top four place on Saturday evening, when they meet mid-table Bologna in Turin.

While Juve bounced back from their Derby d'Italia defeat to edge out lowly Cagliari last weekend, the visitors ended a five-match winless streak by beating Sampdoria.

We say: Juventus 2-0 Bologna

A repeat of the result of December's reverse fixture at Dall'Ara is a strong possibility on Saturday, as Juventus are focused on working their way towards the top of the table and have been efficient against the league's lesser lights in recent months.

Seeking to consolidate their top-six place in Serie A with a third straight win, Lazio welcome mid-table Torino to Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

Under pressure from clubs surrounding them in the standings - including Atalanta, Fiorentina and city rivals Roma - the Biancocelesti will take on an away side fresh from holding Scudetto contenders Milan to a goalless draw.

For a second successive week, Torino can frustrate more illustrious counterparts, with a repeat of September's 1-1 draw between the sides on the cards in Rome.
