Cristiano Ronaldo 'set for new three-year Juventus contract extension'

Juventus are reportedly considering offering Cristiano Ronaldo a three-year contract extension which would keep him at the club until 2023, when he would be 38 years old.

Juventus are reportedly preparing to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a contract extension which would keep him at the club until he is 38.

Ronaldo joined the Italian champions in 2018 and was named the Serie A player of the year in his debut campaign with the club, having scored 28 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has 10 goals in 14 league games so far this term too, and Corriere dello Sport reports that Juve are now ready to extend his current £30m-a-year terms to 2023.

The report claims that Ronaldo is confident he will be able to carry on performing at the highest level at the age of 38 and that Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici is aware of his willingness to sign a new deal.

The three-year contract could also have the option of an additional 12 months on top of that, although any agreement is not expected to be finalised until spring.

Ronaldo has 40 goals in 64 games for Juventus overall, helping them to an eighth consecutive Serie A title last season.
