Sunday's Serie A predictions including Inter Milan vs. Lazio

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Inter Milan vs. Lazio.

Both embroiled in the scrap for a top-four finish in Serie A, cup specialists Inter Milan and second-placed Lazio clash at San Siro on Sunday.

While Inter are now into both the Champions League semis and the Coppa Italia final, they have been woefully inconsistent in the league; their visitors, meanwhile, saw a superb run of results finally ended last week.

We say: Inter Milan 1-2 Lazio

After a 3-1 win in August's reverse fixture, Lazio can do the double over Inter, who have repeatedly stumbled in the league and seem distracted by their cup commitments. Maurizio Sarri is set to secure his 150th Serie A victory; taking his team one step closer to Champions League football in the process.

Cremonese vs. Hellas Verona (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Both battling against the drop with games running out to avoid relegation, Serie A strugglers Cremonese and Hellas Verona meet at Stadio Giovanni Zini on Sunday.

While the hosts - who bowed out in the Coppa Italia semi-finals this week - seem destined for demotion barring a late-season miracle, Hellas have now hauled themselves within touching distance of safety.

We say: Cremonese 0-1 Hellas Verona

Yet to win a single away game this term, Verona can finally end their drought at Cremonese's expense - all but guaranteeing the Grigiorossi's relegation. Neither side's strikers have performed to the required standard, so a single goal could decide the destiny of the points.

Napoli vs. Salernitana (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Inching ever closer to their third Serie A title, Napoli could be one win away from the Scudetto as they prepare to welcome southern rivals Salernitana to Stadio Maradona on Sunday.

A week after their cathartic - if not decisive - defeat of Juventus, Italy's long-time league leaders can become champions by claiming three points and seeing second-placed Lazio fail to win in Milan.

We say: Napoli 2-1 Salernitana

With just two wins on the road so far, surely Salernitana cannot spoil Napoli's big day by seizing success in this Campania derby? Having last tasted defeat back in February, they can put up some stiff resistance, but the peerless Partenopei will ultimately prevail.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Sassuolo vs. Empoli (Sunday, 2.00pm)

A rapidly faltering Empoli side travel to the Mapei Stadium to face Sassuolo in Serie A on Sunday.

Concerning form has seen Empoli slide down the table in 2023 and has left them looking over their shoulder.

We say: Sassuolo 0-0 Empoli

Sassuolo's form has tailed off since their survival was all but confirmed, and missing Berardi will certainly affect them in attack.

Empoli have been in extremely worrying form, with a toothless attack dragging them towards danger, but they may be able to take something from a Sassuolo side who have little left to play for.

Fiorentina vs. Sampdoria (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After seeing their long unbeaten streak in Serie A finally ended last week, Coppa Italia finalists Fiorentina aim to get back on the winning trail this Sunday, when they host Sampdoria.

Though the Viola let a two-goal lead slip to lose against Monza, they then sealed aggregate victory in their cup semi-final; meanwhile, rock-bottom Samp are in need of a miracle to avoid relegation.

We say: Fiorentina 1-0 Sampdoria

These sides have drawn none of their last seven Serie A meetings, and that trend could continue on Sunday evening as Fiorentina get back to winning ways. Samp's weak attack and terrible away record suggests that they cannot overcome the Viola's challenge, so another defeat awaits.

Bologna vs. Juventus (Sunday, 7.45pm)

After the latest setback of a sorry season, Juventus aim to keep grip of their top-four place on Sunday, when they visit mid-table Bologna.

Juve may have crashed out of the Coppa Italia to Inter in midweek - following three straight Serie A defeats - but they have not lost to their Rossoblu rivals in 21 league matches ahead of the sides' clash at Stadio Dall'Ara.

We say: Bologna 1-1 Juventus

Boasting the sixth-best home record in Serie A this season, Bologna are more than capable of taking at least a point on Sunday, against a deflated and uninspired Juventus side. After all, Juve have won just one of their last seven matches and are particularly vulnerable to Thiago Motta's proactive approach.
