However, according to La Stampa, Rabiot has been left frustrated by the decision and intends to remain in France.

As it stands, the first-team squad are expected to reconvene later in May ahead of the potential resumption of Serie A next month.

While the situation could change, it is suggested that Rabiot does not want to be hit with a pay cut for four months, the time period agreed with the relevant parties.

The latest development comes at a time when the former Paris Saint-Germain man is being linked with a switch to Manchester United.
