Real Madrid have reportedly slashed their asking price for Gareth Bale to just £22m in an attempt to offload him this summer.
Manager Zinedine Zidane has told Bale that he does not feature in his plans for the upcoming season after the Welshman was reduced to mostly a watching brief for much of last term.
Bale recently confirmed that he was close to leaving Madrid for the Chinese Super League last summer only for the club to make it "very difficult" to do so.
Madrid are also understood to have rejected an £89m approach from a Premier League team last year, but Mundo Deportivo claims that they are now willing to accept less than a quarter of that fee.
The Spanish champions are desperate to get the 31-year-old off their wage bill and are willing to accept a significant loss as a result, although his wage demands could also be an issue for any interested parties.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be leading the race for his signature and could be tempted into a summer move given the reduced fee.
