The action continues in round 21 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga as cellar-dwelling Rio Ave and Casa Pia go head to head at the Estadio dos Arcos on Sunday.

With just two points separating the teams at the bottom end of the table, we anticipate an action-packed contest as both sides look to pull clear of the danger zone.

We say: Rio Ave 1-0 Casa Pia

While both sides are evenly matched on paper, Rio Ave's home advantage gives them a slight edge this weekend. Freire's have been impressive at the Estadio dos Arcos in the last three months and we see them claiming all three points, albeit by a narrow margin.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Braga (Sunday, 6.00pm)

The pick of the gameweek 21 matches in the Primeira Liga will see Sporting Lisbon taking on Braga at Estadio Jose Alvalade on Sunday evening.

The hosts are currently in second place in the league standings with 49 points after 19 matches, while the visitors are in fourth place, nine points behind their opponents, though they have played one game more.

While Braga have been impressive this season, Sporting have been a different beast at Estadio Jose Alvalade, and a perfect record of 10 wins in 10 and averaging over three goals per 90 are difficult records to overlook. Fresh off the back of reaching the Taca de Portugal semi-finals, Vitoria de Guimaraes and Benfica lock horns at the Dom Afonso Henriques in round 21 of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

Having failed to win any of their last 20 meetings between the teams, Os Vimaranenses will head into the weekend desperate to get one over the visitors and pick up an eighth home victory on the bounce.

We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-2 Benfica

Vitoria de Guimaraes have put together a fine run of results and will head into the weekend with plenty of optimism as they look to end their dire record against Benfica. However, Schmidt's side boast the firepower needed to get this one over the line and we fancy them to claim all three points once again.
