Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury insists that head coach Marco Silva remains focused on life with the Hornets, despite interest from Everton.

Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury has suggested that he has no concerns over Marco Silva's commitment to the Hornets.

In recent weeks, Silva has been linked with a switch to Everton, with Watford allegedly having to reject a number of approaches for the Portuguese coach.

Everton are now likely to appoint Sam Allardyce, but Duxbury does not feel that Silva has been influenced by any speculation linking him with the vacant role at Goodison Park.

Duxbury told the London Evening Standard: "Marco is an exceptional head coach and is fully focused on the job here.

"I don't want to talk about the speculation that's been going on. Our position on that is well documented."

Silva has guided Watford to eighth place in the Premier League standings, despite a 4-2 defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday night.
