Jessica Gadirova is crowned world champion on the women's floor exercise at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Liverpool.

Jessica Gadirova ended a spectacular World Artistic Gymnastics Championships for Great Britain on the highest of highs by taking the gold medal in the women's floor exercise.

The 18-year-old adds a first-ever world title to her team silver and historic all-around bronze in front of the home crowd in Liverpool after scoring an insurmountable 14.200.

Gadirova had pulled out of the vault final as a precaution due to a foot problem, but she demonstrated her charisma and unbeatable difficulty on floor to take the gold medal.

Gadirova posted the highest difficulty and execution scores of the day to beat the USA's Jordan Chiles, who took silver with 13.833, while all-around champion Rebeca Andrade scored 13.733 to take the bronze.

Jennifer Gadirova was in action alongside her twin sister in the floor final, scoring a total of 13.166 to finish in seventh place.

Over on the parallel bars, Joe Fraser - the 2019 world champion on the apparatus - ended a disappointing Championships in eighth place with 14.700, while floor gold medallist Giarnni Regini-Moran placed seventh with 14.733.

GB end the 2022 World Championships with a total of six medals - two gold, one silver and three bronze - to place fourth in the rankings behind China, the USA and Japan.
