Video: Barcelona reveal Camp Nou redevelopment plans

Barcelona reveal plans to extend their Camp Nou home by a further 5,000 seats to take it beyond the 100,000 mark, without disrupting a single match.

Barcelona have released a time-lapse video outlining their plans to transform Camp Nou into a 105,000-capacity stadium over the next six years.

Work on their famous home is due to begin in 2017-18, adding a further 5,000 seats without causing any disruption to matches during the three-to-four years of construction.

Barca hope that the renovated stadium, which has been their home for seven decades, will provide "a new green space" for surrounding areas while also adding a "serene, timeless, Mediterranean and democratic" feel.
