Non-League Lewes use beach huts as hospitality boxes during games

Non-League side Lewes put beach huts up for hire as hospitality boxes for their matches in the Ryman Premier Division.

Non-League side Lewes have installed four beach huts at their ground to use as hospitality boxes for supporters.

The East Sussex club have placed the huts, which contain free wifi, food, a minibar and a match programme, pitch-side at The Dripping Pan.

The huts, which can hold six people, cost £40 per person for groups of four or more and are hired on a first-come first-serve basis.

"We thought we'd dip our toe into the glamorous world of corporate hospitality," the Daily Mail quotes commercial manager Kevin Miller as saying. "At this level we couldn't stretch to Premier League-style luxury.

"That said, our prices are a little more reasonable than the Premier League. These beach huts offer something a little different with entertaining, honest football set against a backdrop of the beautiful Sussex Downs."

Lewes, who compete in the Ryman Premier Division, receive around 800 spectators every game.
