Don Poli wins RSA Chase

The Willie Mullins-trained Don Poli wins the RSA Chase at the ongoing Cheltenham Festival.

Don Poli showed great stamina to win the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

At last year's Festival, jockey Bryan Cooper suffered fractures to his tibia and fibula, but he has returned to action to guide the Willie Mullins-trained Don Poli to victory over 18 fences.

Following today's triumph, the six-year-old has already been installed as the favourite to win the 2016 Cheltenham Gold Cup among some bookmakers.

Southfield Theatre, who pushed hard in the closing stages, finished second, while Wounded Warrior took third place.
