Lac Fontana triumphs in Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle

Lac Fontana wins the Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

Lac Fontana has dug deep to win the Vincent O'Brien County Handicap Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

The 11/1 shot, ridden by Daryl Jacob, came out on top in a thrilling finish that saw him edge out Arctic Fire by a length.

Jacob, who has marginally missed out in several races throughout the week, told Channel 4: "I just wanted to keep my head down and keep working. One thing that I will always do is keep grafting and fight for all that I can."

Montbazon finished the race in third place, while Diakali followed in fourth.
