Andy Murray: Doubles match against Jamie was "awkward"

Andy Murray admits that facing his brother Jamie in a doubles match at the Rogers Cup was "awkward".

Andy Murray has revealed that he had to temper his usual enthusiasm on court when facing his brother Jamie in a doubles match at the Rogers Cup.

Jamie and playing partner John Peers prevailed by a 6-4 7-6 scoreline in Montreal, and Andy has admitted that there was an "awkward" atmosphere during the 65-minute contest as he and Leander Paes fell to defeat.

The 28-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "I always support him to win those matches. The atmosphere is a bit awkward for everyone involved.

"I don't want to be fist pumping and getting in Jamie's face and his partner's."

Earlier on Thursday, Murray had progressed into the quarter-finals of the singles tournament with a comfortable win over Gilles Muller.
