British junior Maia Lumsden has recorded a surprise three-set win over sixth seed Anna Kalinskaya in the girls' singles at the US Open.
Lumsden appeared on course for defeat against the Russian when she dropped the opening set, but she was excellent during the second, breaking serve three times to take the contest into a decider.
The third was straightforward, with the 17-year-old Scot striking two more times to run out a 4-6 6-4 6-1 winner on Court Six.
Earlier in 2015, Lumsden suffered first-round exits at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros, but she did reach the last 32 at Wimbledon.
