Chen Long, Carolina Marin claim singles titles at All England Championships

China's Chen Long and Spain's Carolina Marin claim the men's and women's singles titles respectively at the All England Championships in Birmingham.

World champions Chen Long and Carolina Marin claimed singles titles at the All England Championships in Birmingham at the weekend.

Long of China secured a 25-21 21-17 21-15 victory over Danish number two seed Jan Jorgensen, who was the first European to reach the final since 2004.

Marin, who represents Spain, managed to come from a set down in the women's final to claim a 16-21 21-14 21-7 triumph, which stopped Saina Nehwal from becoming the first Indian to win the title.

China's Zhang Nan and Zhao Yunlei managed to snatch the mixed doubles title off Indonesia's Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir.
