Great Britain's mixed boccia team clinch bronze medal

Great Britain's BC1-2 boccia side have secured a bronze medal for the host nation following their 7-5 win over Portugal.

It was an edgy start to the match with both sides scoring early and remaining neck and neck until the host nation grabbed the lead.

The British team, made up of Daniel Bentley, Nigel Murray, Zoe Robinson and David Smith, proved to be more accurate with their throws towards the final stages of the contest.

While Portugal tried to keep up the pressure, it wasn't enough to knock the Brits off their stride as they cruised to victory and a spot on the podium.
