Parviz Baghirov wins welterweight gold for Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan's Parviz Baghirov sees off Alexander Besputin to win gold in the men's welterweight final at the European Games.

Parviz Baghirov has recorded a unanimous points win over Alexander Besputin in the men's welterweight final at the European Games.

The Azerbaijan puncher came out on top by scores of 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 respectively to see off his Russian opponent.

The bronze medals went to Great Britain's Josh Kelly and Ukraine's Yaroslav Samofalov.

Azerbaijan have now won 20 gold medals at the Games in Baku.
