Arthur Abraham: 'I will knock Paul Smith out'

WBO super-middleweight champion Arthur Abraham insists that he will knock out Paul Smith in their rematch in Berlin on February 21.

WBO super-middleweight champion Arthur Abraham believes that he will stop Paul Smith in "spectacular" fashion when they meet for a second time next year.

Abraham beat the Liverpudlian on points in Kiel in September but the margin of victory - 117-111, 117-111 and 119-109 all in favour of the champion - led to immediate calls for a rematch.

After a deal was agreed between promoters Kalle Sauerland and Eddie Hearn, a second contest in Berlin on February 21 has been announced and Abraham is predicting that he will end the Germany encounter in emphatic style.

The 34-year-old told reporters: "I'm a man of my word. I promised Paul that I would give him a rematch after our first fight in Kiel. I will honour that promise.

"However, Paul should be careful what he wishes for. I've already beaten him once and this time I plan to win in even more spectacular fashion. On February 21, I will knock him out."

A number of British fighters are expected to compete on the undercard in Germany's capital.
