Sports Mole looks at how Australia could line up for their World Cup fixture with Denmark at the Al Janoub Stadium on Wednesday

After making just one enforced change to his Australia side against Tunisia from their World Cup opener versus France, Graham Arnold looks set to name an unchanged one for their tie with Denmark on Wednesday.

Fran Karacic came into the side at right-back following the injury picked up by Nathaniel Atkinson against France.

Given the fact that they won while keeping a clean sheet, it is likely Karacic will keep his place regardless of Atkinson's condition.

Atkinson was given a torrid time understandably by Kylian Mbappe in that group opener, and Karacic may face tough opposition too from their next European opponents.

Arnold showed faith and loyalty to his side in the aftermath of the 4-1 loss to Les Bleus, sticking with the same available players for the Tunisia game, and it paid off, as they won their first World Cup finals match for 12 years.

Their match winner Mitchell Duke represents the beauty of the World Cup, as the man who plays his football in the second tier of Japanese football scored an excellent header on the biggest stage of all, in front of an audience who will never have seen him play before.

He is one of the new additions to a relatively overhauled squad, as six of the starters against Tunisia are making their first World Cup appearance.

Martin Boyle would have been another one of them, but the Hibernian man sadly suffered a serious ACL injury on the eve of the tournament, and will miss the rest of the club season too.

Tom Rogic is a more experienced Australian international, but was rather controversially left out of their 26-man squad, despite being undoubtedly one of the Socceroos biggest talents.

He has not featured for the national side since pulling out of their squad for the World Cup playoff against Peru on personal grounds, and the Australian press have been very vocal on the topic of whether it was wise to leave him out, even if he has seen limited game time at West Bromwich Albion this season.

Australia possible starting lineup:
Ryan; Karacic, Souttar, Rowles, Behich; Leckie, Irvine, Mooy, McGree, Goodwin; Duke
