Barnet sign Michael Gash

Conference leaders Barnet have completed the signing of Michael Gash.

The 28-year-old had been a free agent for a short period of time following his release by Kidderminster Harriers earlier this month.

However, he has now joined Barnet, where he has been told by manager Martin Allen that he will act as cover to the current strikers at the Hive Stadium.

"I explained to him that I needed cover for my two centre-forwards. I told him straight what his position would be and he had to understand that and accept that," Allen told the club's official website.

Gash has agreed to terms that will expire at the end of the season.
