Fortaleza will be bidding to make it four straight wins in all competitions when they continue their Brasileiro campaign against Bahia on Saturday.

The home side have picked up 13 points from their opening eight matches of the season to sit ninth in the table, while Bahia are 16th, collecting seven points from their first eight games of the campaign.

We say: Fortaleza 2-0 Bahia

Bahia's success over Santos on Wednesday would have boosted their confidence, but their recent league form has been disappointing, and they will be up against it in this match. Fortaleza have had their problems this season, but we are expecting them to secure all three points on Saturday.

Both Cruzeiro and Atletico Mineiro will be looking to return to winning ways when they lock horns in the Brasileiro on Saturday.

The home side are currently sixth in the Brasileiro table, picking up 13 points from eight matches, while Atletico Mineiro occupy fourth position, boasting 14 points from their opening eight games.

We say: Cruzeiro 1-2 Atletico Mineiro

This has all of the makings of an interesting game, and both sides will certainly believe that they can cause damage to the other due to their quality in the forward positions. We are expecting a close match on Saturday but believe that Atletico Mineiro will ultimately claim all three points.

Brazilian Serie A leaders Botafogo will be attempting to gain revenge on Athletico Paranaense when the two sides meet on Saturday.

Athletico PR prevailed on penalties in midweek, after the two sides had drawn 3-3 on aggregate at the last-16 stage of the Copa do Brasil.

We say: Athletico Paranaense 1-2 Botafogo

Despite winning on penalties in the cup in midweek, Athletico PR's defeat in normal time was their fourth successive loss, and we expect the visitors to smell blood this weekend.

Castro's side have won seven of their eight league games so far this season, and we can envisage them making that record eight from nine to potentially further increase their lead at the top of Serie A.

America Mineiro will be hoping to register only their second league win of the campaign when they host Corinthians on Saturday.

The visitors, meanwhile, head into the encounter four points clear of their forthcoming opponents after eight games of the season.

Corinthians appear to have recovered from their dreadful start to the season, and there is little doubt that they have far more offensive firepower at their disposal than their forthcoming opponents.
