Sunday's Serie A predictions including Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Serie A fixtures, including Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan.

Genoa vs. Lecce (Sunday, 11.30am)

Two teams seeking mid-table security clash at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Sunday, as in-form Genoa take on faltering Lecce.

While the visitors have slipped down the Serie A standings following five games without a win, their hosts have started 2024 unbeaten.

We say: Genoa 2-1 Lecce

Four of Genoa's last six Serie A strikes have come courtesy of dead-ball situations, while Lecce conceded their eighth headed goal last weekend - a league high in that category. Even if the home side cannot break through in general play, they could therefore make the most of their set-pieces.

Hellas Verona vs. Frosinone (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Both seeking points to aid their scrap for Serie A survival, Hellas Verona and Frosinone meet at Stadio Bentegodi on Sunday afternoon.

Hellas lost to Roma last weekend and remain stuck inside the drop zone; meanwhile, their fellow Gialloblu were 3-1 winners over Cagliari - halting a worrying slide down the standings.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-2 Frosinone

Frosinone can finally get off the mark with an away win, as they will meet one of Serie A's least effective attacking teams this weekend. Verona average under one goal per game, and recent departures have only weakened them.

Monza vs. Sassuolo (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Monza welcome Sassuolo to the U-Power Stadium in a clash between two Serie A sides enduring difficult runs of late.

While the hosts have seen faint hopes of Europe fade away, Sassuolo's top-flight future is hanging in the balance in the early stages of the second half of the campaign.

We say: Monza 1-1 Sassuolo

Neither side are showing promising signs of late, and this could be a very scrappy game between two teams afraid of falling to another defeat.

Domenico Berardi could be the difference maker for Sassuolo, as any result may be seen as a step in the right direction for the visitors.

Lazio vs. Napoli (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Both beaten by Inter Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana, Lazio and Napoli return to Serie A duty on Sunday evening, when the southern rivals clash at Stadio Olimpico.

The two teams have taken different paths in recent weeks, with Lazio inching up the standings while the reigning champions continue to falter.

We say: Lazio 1-1 Napoli

Lazio and Napoli have not drawn any of their last 14 Serie A contests, with four wins for the Biancocelesti and 10 for their Neapolitan rivals. A first stalemate since November 2016 could be on the cards, though, as both teams are diminished by absences and may be satisfied with a point.

Fiorentina vs. Inter Milan (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Having secured a third straight Supercoppa Italiana earlier this week, Inter Milan resume their pursuit of the Scudetto on Sunday, when they visit Fiorentina at Stadio Franchi.

While Inter's absence allowed old foes Juventus to move clear at the top of Serie A, their hosts - who lost in the Supercoppa semi-finals - remain in the mix for a top-four finish.

We say: Fiorentina 1-2 Inter Milan

Fiorentina's build-up play can be impressive to watch, but too often they stumble in and around the opposition area. As Inter are a ruthless winning machine, the Nerazzurri can take advantage of any slip-ups by their Viola hosts and post a fifth win on the spin.
