Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah is wanted by Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United, according to a report.

Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United are all reportedly interested in bringing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah to the Premier League.

The 27-year-old has been in impressive form for his German club during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring four times in 16 appearances in all competitions.

Tah has played an important role in Leverkusen sitting top of the Bundesliga table, scoring three times in 11 appearances, while he has featured on three occasions in the Europa League.

The Germany international has less than two years left to run on his current deal, though, and he is allegedly attracting interest from the Premier League.

According to The Sun, Newcastle are currently weighing up a move for the defender, with Sven Botman and Dan Burn on the sidelines through injury.

The report claims that Man United and West Ham are also interested, with Leverkusen thought to be prepared to sell for the right price if it becomes clear that he will not be penning a new deal.

Tah started his professional career with Hamburger SV before making the move to Leverkusen in 2015, and he has represented the club on 321 occasions, scoring 12 goals and registering 11 assists in the process.

West Ham had allegedly been keen to revisit their interest in Harry Maguire next year, but it now seems incredibly unlikely that the England international will be available.

Maguire has worked his way back into the Man United side with a string of strong performances, with the ex-Sheffield United youngster now a key member of Erik ten Hag's first XI at Old Trafford.

Man United are expected to move for at least one new centre-back next year, as Raphael Varane is likely to depart, with the ex-France international thought to be keen to continue his career in Saudi Arabia.

Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof only have deals until the end of the season, meanwhile, and Lisandro Martinez will not be back until at least January due to a second foot operation this year.

Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo and Sporting Lisbon's Goncalo Inacio are also thought to be firmly on the English club's radar heading towards the end of the year.

Man United's January budget will allegedly be boosted by the arrival of Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is set to purchase 25% of the club for around £1.3bn.

The Red Devils are expected to move for a new forward in the winter market to ease the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund, who has five goals to his name this term but is yet to register in the Premier League.
