Wakefield Wildcats sign Leeds Rhinos pair on loan

Wakefield Wildcats sign Leeds Rhinos duo Jimmy Keinhorst and Luke Briscoe on loan for the new Super League season.

Wakefield Wildcats have signed Leeds Rhinos duo Jimmy Keinhorst and Luke Briscoe on loan for the new season.

The pair will be available when the Wildcats get their Super League campaign underway on February 16 with a trip to Salford Red Devils.

"We felt as though we need some competition for places and Leeds have got an embarrassment of riches in the backs which gives Jimmy the chance to come and play first grade and get some experience," Wakefield coach Richard Agar told the club's official website.

"Luke is a strong, natural footballer who can play anywhere in the backline and can slot into the back-row if required. He'll add depth to the squad and I anticipate him playing first grade this season."

Wakefield finished the last campaign in 11th place in the Super League table.
