Robbie Henshaw ruled out for rest of Six Nations

Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw is ruled out for the remainder of the Six Nations after undergoing an operation on a dislocated shoulder.

Ireland centre Robbie Henshaw has been ruled out of the remainder of the Six Nations with a shoulder injury.

The 24-year-old dislocated his shoulder while scoring his second try during Ireland's convincing 56-19 win over Italy in Dublin on Saturday.

Ireland ran in eight tries overall to make it two wins from two in the Six Nations so far, although their quest for the Grand Slam must now continue without Henshaw.

The Leinster back has already undergone an operation on his shoulder, but will not recover in time to feature in any of Ireland's remaining three matches.

However, head coach Joe Schmidt is expected to have prop Tadhg Furlong and back row Jack Conan available to face Wales on February 24.

Ireland currently lead the Six Nations table on points difference ahead of England.
