Sale Sharks hang on to beat Newcastle Falcons in Stockport.

Sale Sharks have secured their second win in a row, beating Newcastle Falcons 27-19 in Stockport this afternoon.

Fly-half Nick Macleod kicked four first-half penalties to put the home side ahead after converting Tom Brady's try in the fourth minute. Meanwhile, opposite number Jimmy Gopperth converted substitute Jeremy Manning's try and added a penalty to keep Newcastle close.

Gopperth continued to lead the Falcons' comeback in the second half with three penalties before the hour, before Mark Cueto crossed the line to put Sale back ahead and Macleod's fifth finished them off.
