Great Britain's Asha Philip secures her place in the semi-finals of the women's 100m at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing.

Great Britain's Asha Philip has qualified for the semi-finals of the women's 100m at the World Athletics Championships.

The 24-year-old was the only Briton to compete in the event and faced stiff competition from former world champion Veronica Campbell-Brown in her heat.

However, Philip managed to finish in third place behind the USA's Tori Bowie and Campbell-Brown in a time of 11.28s to book her place in the next round.

The semi-finals take place on Monday.
