Thursday's La Liga predictions including Las Palmas vs. Barcelona

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's La Liga fixtures, including Las Palmas vs. Barcelona.

Osasuna vs. Almeria (Thursday, 4.00pm)

Struggling Almeria will hope to claim their first La Liga win of the season when they travel to El Sadar for Wednesday's clash with Osasuna.

While the visitors are propping up the La Liga table, their opponents start the new year in 12th position with 19 points to their name.

We say: Osasuna 2-1 Almeria

Although Osasuna have struggled to consistently pick up wins this season, they will go into Thursday's contest as the favourites to claim all three points.

Los Rojillos won each of their last six league meetings with Almeria, and we expect them to continue that fine record in their opening match of 2024.

Sevilla vs. Athletic Bilbao (Thursday, 6.15pm)

Quique Sanchez Flores will take charge of his first home game as Sevilla manager when his side face Athletic Bilbao in Thursday's La Liga encounter.

The hosts are currently languishing in 16th position, while the visitors begin the new year in 15th place in the league table.

We say: Sevilla 1-1 Athletic Bilbao

While Athletic may be unbeaten in 10 competitive matches, they have had to settle for draws in their last two away games in La Liga, and we think they will have to be content with a point when they face a Sevilla side that has drawn four of their previous five home league matches.

Las Palmas vs. Barcelona (Thursday, 8.30pm)

Reigning Champions Barcelona will get begin the new year with a trip to Gran Canaria for Thursday's La Liga clash with Las Palmas.

The Catalan giants begin 2024 in fourth place in the league table, while their newly-promoted opponents occupy ninth position.

We say: Las Palmas 1-2 Barcelona

Barcelona will know they will have to be somewhere near their best to beat a Las Palmas side that has lost just one home league game this season.

With that said, we still believe the Catalan giants have enough quality in their squad to claim a narrow win over the newly-promoted side.
