Glasgow Warriors battle to victory

Finn Russell kicks Glasgow Warriors to a 15-13 victory over Montpellier in Pool 4 of the European Rugby Champions Cup.

Glasgow Warriors battled to a hard-fought 15-6 victory over Montpellier in the European Rugby Champions Cup this evening.

After two early penalties from Finn Russell had given the Scottish side a 6-0 lead, it looked as though there was only one side in the game.

However, Montpellier narrowed the gap to just three points at the break to give the visitors something to worry about.

When Robert Ebherson was sent to the sin bin after an hour, Russell kicked Glasgow into a 12-6 lead and the fly-half kicked another three points for his side soon after.

Despite a late penalty try for Montpellier, Glasgow held on to maintain their 100% record in Pool 4.
