Park Joo-ho earns late Borussia Dortmund win

Borussia Dortmund score in added time to beat FC Krasnodar 2-1 in the Europa League.

Borussia Dortmund made it 10 wins out of 10 in all competitions after leaving it late to beat FC Krasnodar 2-1 in the Europa League this evening.

The visitors went ahead after Fyodor Smolov went past Matthias Ginter down the left wing before playing the ball in to the front post to an unmarked Pavel Mamadev, who passed the ball into the Dortmund goal.

Thomas Tuchel's men looked to reply through Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with the midfielder put through thanks to a clever flick from Adnan Januzaj, but the 26-year-old was closed down quickly by the Krasnodar goalkeeper.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also went close but the Gabonese forward put his strike into the side-netting from a Januzaj corner.

The Bundesliga side pulled level just before half time, as Park Joo-ho set up a cross for Ginter to attack and the defender powered a header beyond the reach of Andriy Dykan.

Dortmund had numerous chances after the break, with Mkhitaryan heading the ball wide from close range before the Armenian international found himself in the box again, only to curl his effort wide of the post.

Januzaj had a chance of his own with 25 minutes remaining, turning inside the box but his powerful right-footed strike was saved well by Dykan.

Dortmund piled on the pressure, with Ilkay Gundogan managing to find a way to goal but his low drive was palmed away by Dykan, who was lucky that his defenders could stop any scraps being pounced upon by Aubameyang.

Substitute Adrian Ramos managed to go round the goalkeeper late on but Andreas Granqvist saved his side and it looked like he had saved a point for the Russian side.

However, in added time, Ginter returned the favour to Park who connected with the full-back's cross to head home the winner on his Dortmund debut.

The win sees Tuchel's side top Group C after the first game while Krasnodar start with no points in last place.
