Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton eager to boost attacking options

Brighton boss Chris Hughton admits that he needs to boost his attacking options at the end of the season.

Brighton & Hove Albion boss Chris Hughton has admitted that he needs to add firepower to his squad over the summer.

The Seagulls have struggled for goals this season, with Sam Baldock, Craig Mackail-Smith, Chris O'Grady and Leon Best finding the net just five times between them in the Championship.

With Brighton's status in the second tier now secure, Hughton is eager to boost his attacking options ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.

"Throughout the season we have had some good performances coupled with some not so good performances, but we have managed to keep clean sheets in those games. But the fact that we have not been able to score goals always puts pressure on the team," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"It is my responsibility to do the work, make the changes and to bring in the personnel that are able to change that."

Brighton play their final game of the season on Saturday when they travel to promotion-chasing Middlesbrough.
