Team News: Derby County make nine changes for Southport tie

Derby County boss Steve McClaren makes nine changes to his side for the FA Cup match with Conference Premier outfit Southport.

Derby County manager Steve McClaren has made sweeping changes to his starting lineup ahead of the club's match with Southport in the FA Cup third round.

Nine alterations have been made in total, with Lee Naylor being handed his full debut at left-back and Paul Coutts starting his first match under McClaren.

Leon Best will lead the attack, with the likes of Chris Martin and Jordan Ibe dropping down to the substitutes' bench.

Southport travel to the iPro Stadium with just a seven-point cushion separating themselves and the relegation zone in the Conference Premier.

Manager Gary Brabin is able to welcome back midfielder Scott Kay from suspension.
