Seeking to pick up a third consecutive away victory, Adana Demirspor take a trip to the Necmi Kadioglu Sports Complex to face Istanbulspor on Tuesday.

Istanbulspor failed to pull clear of the relegation zone as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Kasimpasa when the sides faced off last Saturday.

Following a goalless first half at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium, the hosts' waves of attack paid off two minutes before the hour mark when Yasin Ozcan broke the deadlock to see off the visitors.

Prior to that, Istanbulspor saw their four-match undefeated run come to an end on April 16 as they were beaten 2-0 by title-chasing Galatasaray courtesy of a brace from Mauro Icardi.

Fatih Tekke's men have now lost 18 of their 33 matches so far while claiming 10 wins and five draws to collect 35 points and sit 15th in the Super Lig table, one point above the relegation zone.

While Istanbulspor will be looking to arrest their slump and steer clear of the danger zone, next up is an opposing side who have won four of their last five meetings, including an emphatic 6-0 victory in January's reverse fixture.

Adana Demirspor's hopes of qualifying for the Europa Conference League playoffs mathematically came to an end last Sunday when they were beaten 4-1 by Besiktas at the 5 Ocak Fatih Terim.

The hosts looked on course for a routine victory when Younes Belhanda opened the scoring in the 19th minute, but Senol Gunes's men hit back with four straight goals, with Vincent Aboubakar chipping in a brace.

Having watched his side fail to score in their last two outings, the 45-year-old could ring a few changes in attack, with the likes of Jetmir Topalli and Eduart Rroca pushing for starting roles.

Veteran goalkeeper Ertac Ozbir will play no part in Tuesday's game as he serves a one-match ban after crossing the yellow card threshold with his booking against Besiktas.

In his absence, 26-year-old Goran Karacic should make an appearance between the sticks for Adana Demirspor for the first time since November 2022.
